Working Holiday Visa

Working Holiday Visa provides temporary work permits to young people from over 30 countries, so they can legally live and get a job in Canada. The permits are valid for either 12 or 24 months, depending on your country of citizenship. It is a first come first serve program and each country has a different quota.

Under this program, eligible occupations who meet minimum entry criteria, submit an expression of interest profile to pool of candidates.
The working holiday visa is relatively easy to obtain. As long as the applicant meets the minimum age requirement, can provide proof of citizenship and residence in their country of origin, and does not have any medical or criminal issues causing inadmissibility, the applicant is eligible.

The Working Holiday Program does not require a job offer to qualify

Labour Market Opinion

A labour market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document issued by the Human Resources and Skills Development Canada agency which states that the hiring of a foreign worker has a positive effect on the Canadian labour market. Employers should show that they have exhausted their resources in the process of indenting to fill the position locally and failed and as a result of that they are offering a job for a Foreign national. Approved LMIA allows the foreign national to apply for a Temporary Work Permit. Most of the permits will be issued for at least 12 months and immediate family members will be able to join the foreign worker.

PNP

This program enables provinces to nominate candidates who have the skills, education, and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province and want to live in that province. Most of the province’s economic growth depends on having enough skilled and qualified people to meet labour market needs. The BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is a way for high-demand foreign workers and experienced entrepreneurs to gain permanent residency in B.C. The vast majority of these programs criteria require the applicant to have a qualified job offer from a Canadian employer prior to applying.

Federal Skilled

Federal Skilled Workers are persons with suitable education, work experience, age, and language abilities under one of Canada’s official languages and are selected under the Express Entry Immigration system to apply for permanent residence.

The profiles of candidates in the pool are ranked under a Comprehensive Ranking System. The highest-ranked candidates will be considered for an invitation to apply for permanent residence.
For more than 90% of the applicants, a qualified job offer from a Canadian employer is essential to be awarded with a higher score who leads to an invitation.
